Are the birth certificates certified by the State of Florida?Yes, the birth certificates are official, embossed seal certificates certified by the Florida Department of Health and accepted by all state and federal agencies.
What is an embossed-seal birth certificate?A birth certificate with an embossed seal is used to show authenticity of a vital record and is specific to the state, county, or city the birth certificate was issued by. Vital records without an embossed seal may not be deemed sufficient.
What information is needed to place an order?For all requested vital records, you will need to supply information as it appears on the original vital record. In addition, you will need to provide an acceptable form of identification - a photocopy of your valid and current identification (Driver's License, State Identification Card, Passport and/or Military Identification Card) as well as a signed copy of your application, which is provided after checkout.
What if I don’t have a current driver’s license for identification?That’s okay. Expired drivers’ licenses can still be used along with other supporting forms of identification to prove one’s identity. We also accept many other forms of identification such as: social security cards, passports, marriage certificates, health insurance cards, voter registration cards, vehicle registrations, employment id cards, permanent resident cards, visas, utility bills, traffic citations, W-2 forms, etc. when a valid driver’s license cannot be provided.
Can anyone request a birth certificate?Only a qualified applicant can request a vital record. Qualified applicants include one’s self, a parent or a legal guardian/representative. If a qualified applicant is not available, an Affidavit to Release a Birth Certificate must be completed by a qualified applicant authorizing the release of the birth certificate. How much do the birth certificates cost?Fees vary depending on the vital record being requested, ordering method and type of delivery chosen at checkout.
How long will it take to receive my vital record?The amount of time will depend upon what processing and delivery service is chosen. Processing begins once we confirm receipt of all required documentation. All expected processing and delivery dates are estimates and are not guaranteed. Expedited Express orders are typically processed within 2-4 Business Days. Expedited Basic orders are typically processed within 4-8 Business Days. What if information on the birth certificate is unknown?Without providing accurate information as it appears on the original birth certificate, a vital record will not be released. If information is unknown, most of the time it can be found by asking relatives or searching ancestral websites such as Ancestry.com.
Can you search for a vital record prior to submitting an application?The fees you pay are for the search, not necessarily the vital record. Therefore, for a search to be performed, an application will need to be filled out and paid for prior.

What forms of identification do you accept?We accept any of the following valid and current forms of identification (Driver’s License, State Identification card, Passport and/or Military Identification Card). Can I use the birth certificate I received to obtain a passport?Yes, the birth certificates are official, embossed-seal birth certificates certified by the Florida Department of Health and accepted by all state and federal agencies suitable for obtaining a passport.
How can I submit the items to you?Please respond directly to your confirmation email with the item(s) as an attachment. You may also upload a scanned copy of your items by following this link. (Please let us know if you were unable to utilize either of these options).
